Challenger #11 is ready for Battle
Amber of Knotted Notions is ready for the Battle to begin!
Amber has always loved to crochet. Her children are her inspiration. About a year ago, she began designing her own patterns. She loves designing original things that are fun to make. Amber's biggest goal is to publish her own books and see them being sold in stores. With each new pattern, she gets closer to that goal. We are excited to see what fun and original design she comes up with for Round 3!

Becky of Grammy's Creations is making her Battle of the Stitches debut this round!
Though Becky's grandmother taught her to crochet about 40 years ago when she was a young girl, she has just started publishing her own patterns in the last year. She is not a fan of seams in her work, but has realized that they are sometimes necessary. Becky loves classic country, classic rock and classical music. And she loves celebrating the success of those around her.

Challenger #5, returning from Round 2
We are very excited to have Amy of Knit Pick ~n~ Crochet joining us for another round of Battle of the Stitches!
In Round 2, Amy designed the Heather Travel Bag & Blanket set. We cannot wait to see what she has planned for this round!
Amy is an Army wife and stay-at-home-mom to two little ones. She was taught the basics of crochet by her mother-in-law when she was pregnant with her three-year-old daughter and instantly fell in love. Since, she has expanded her skills with the help of YouTube videos and pattern books. While she does dabble in knitting here and there, her true passion is crochet. She began designing patterns two years ago when she could not find a skirt pattern that was exactly what she was looking for, and she has been "hooked" since. Like all great designers, Amy strives to improve her technique with each design she creates.

Also returning for Round 3, we have Challenger #4
Welcome Amanda of +MNE Crafts back for another round of Battle of the Stitches!
Though Amanda just started crochet pattern designing earlier this year, she has been crocheting more than half of her life. Crochet is her passion! Since the release of her first pattern, she has published at least one pattern a week as well as a couple of eBooks. Amanda's main design focus has been children's items, though she has started to include adult items as well. Her favorite stitches are front and back post stitches. In addition to crocheting, Amanda enjoys photography, reading, writing, and spending time with her family.
We can't wait to see what Amanda brings us in Round 3! In Round 2, Amanda designed the Bermuda Pearl Mermaid Tail photo prop.

Welcome back April from Cuddle Me Beanies!
Hi, I'm April, and I'm
the owner and designer at Cuddle Me Beanies Designs.
I live in a very small

We have been married for 14 years, and have a new little Shih Tzu,
Tugger, who keeps us running.
I am a Salon Owner and
Operator by day, and a Crochetaholic by night!! I LOVE anything
crochet!!!!
I always say: Family is my LIFE, Hair is my LOVE, & Crochet is my PASSION!!!
I have been crocheting
for many years, and started designing my own patterns 4 years ago when I
realized I really enjoyed the challenge.
I love to create
anything and everything with Texture and Color!!!
What can I say........I
really do LOVE Crochet!!!!!
Here is the adorable design that April created for Battle Round 2. I love the bright fun colors and the cute little flip flops that she added. I can't wait to see what she comes up with this time! If you are not familiar with Cuddle Me Beanies, you can find more of her designs here:

Round 3 of the Battle of the Stitches is drawing near
Hey everyone, I'm Kate from Crafting Friends Designs back to set you up for another round of the Battle of the Stitches. I'll be your hostess again this round and I hope you're as excited as I am for Round 3 to begin! It is so much fun to sift through all the applications of designers I'm familiar with as well as those I'm not. Getting to know new people behind the business logo is always a plus and the friendships and business relationships that have been built in the past 2 rounds have been awesome.
Recently, Heidi from +SnApPy ToTs visited me with a gift from the wonderful ladies who participated in Round 2.
It was so awesome to receive a hook from Day by Day Crochet made using 12 suns for our theme "Fun in the Sun" and 12 because we had 12 challengers. I Love it and will never forget them now :)
I also received a gift certificate to JoAnn's and some nut covered chocolates (maybe because I'm nuts for hosting this each time? It's a lot of work, but well worth it!)
So, a HUGE thank you to all who have participated so far and a Big ole Good Luck to the ladies who will challenge in our September competition! We will be announcing the returning challengers along with the new challengers this week, so follow along and cheer on your faves.
