THE THEME, THE STITCH AND SOME FUN SNEAK PEEKS FOR ROUND 6 REVEALED

The Stitch:

Out of ALL the amazing crochet stitches out there, how do you choose just 1 for a round of The Battle of the Stitches?  Well,  it takes a LOT of searching.  Many stitch books are browsed, online tutorials looked through and a note book to jot down the ones that stick out.  What works well for the season coming up?  Will it be easy to design a wide variety of crochet patterns using it as the focus?  It's easy to pick 1 stitch to design 1 project, but to have 12 talented designers all using the same stitch at the same time with the same theme is a little more difficult to narrow it down.  In the end, for this round, it was just that gut feeling.  You know the one, "This is it!"  It cries out that it's a MUST have.

The Theme:

And then there is the theme.  We don't want to design something just to design.  Let's make it mean something!  Let's make it personal and give a little more of our heart than just what's on the hook.  
In round 1, Mother's Day was just around the corner, so it seemed only fitting to design something for our mom or something that we would enjoy receiving.  Round 2, we worked while having Fun in the Sun.  This meant a variety of things to everyone involved from playing with their kids, to pool side days or sandy beaches.  Each round gives you a little more insight to each designer and we hope you enjoy learning more about them as challenges come and go.

Round 6 Theme and Stitch

So,  what is the theme and stitch for Round 6?  Serenity
It's that simple!  We're using the Serenity crochet stitch as the focus of each design and each designer was asked to design something that means or brings Serenity to them.  Ahhhhh,  Can you think of all the possibilities?  Are you relaxing a little now?  We sure hope you will relate to some of these awesome designers and enjoy the patterns they come up with just for you.
