What is spring...its all about the new fun and inspiring new sense of everything that we see. It brings warmth and sun and laughter and a new sense of life... What could I make to bring that all back to you. Using the battle stitch chosen called ...the slanted puff stitch... had me thinking of something light and airy and just fun. What better way then to choose a pattern that reflected that in something my little girl would love and enjoy waring this spring. A tunic tank top ..that's it...that's what she needs...it will be perfect with some cute leggings or some fun shorts. As soon as I finished up the pattern and worked it all together, my daughter was thrilled and could not wait to try it on...She wanted to ware it that day.. of corse not all the finished touches were done yet on the tunic tank so she had to wait the next day. The next day came and she was ready for it and it was ready for her... This tunic tank is soft and fun and so easy to slip on and off and how cute are the buttons and tie waist?...perfect for any little girl to feel like she can do anything or become anything this spring with her new fun spring top.. Of to school she went and all day she said there were girls coming up to her and saying how cute her top was and how fun it would be if there mom could make one for her...or better yet they said, maybe your mom could make me one..She lit up with joy as she was the favorite that day with her perfect spring top. You will love making this Penelope tunic top and your little favorite girl will love it too. Round 11 - Meet the Challengers Part One

It's that time again. Battle of the Stitches is gearing up for another fantastic round of awesomeness! 

This round I thought it would be fun to tell you a little more about the designers. Their favorite design from their shops, our favorite design from their shop, and something neat that you might not know or expect from each of them! Let's get started:

A new Battle Round with a new Battle team

Hi everyone.  Kate here from Crafting Friends Designs and founder of the Battle of the Stitches.  I'm thrilled to see you again!  With the start of a new quarter, it's time to start another round of the Battle.  It's crazy that we are already on Round 10!  It has been a fun couple of years and a great adventure meeting new crochet designers and getting to know each of them.  

Each round, I have 3 other designers join me as admins for the Battle.  The challenge wouldn't run as smooth as it does without their help and I sincerely appreciate them! Along with helping behind scenes, each of us design something fun for the ebook along side the challengers.  We couldn't ask them to design with a new stitch and theme if we're not willing to do so with them - right?   This round, we have chosen a fun stitch for fall and we hope that you will follow along with all 12 challengers and cheer them on.  It's sure to be another fantastic ebook full of 16 amazing crochet designs using the same stitch.

This round, I'm pleased to welcome Stacy back from Too Yarn Cute to help us with the eBook.  All of our eBooks can be found on Ravelry to make it easy for you to save them to your library when purchased. Stacy will make sure all the crochet patterns are set up well for you to follow and add several links to each designer to make it easy to follow them on various social sites or contact them directly if needed.  

Leah from Creative Threads by Leah has jumped into the role of  Facebook page Admin.  

She has a wonderful group of women who help her share some wonderful things on our page that you're sure to enjoy.  Thanks to Pamela Emerson, Patricia Mannarino, Darcy Johnson, Nondas Hensley, Carol Rupprecht, Cecilia Edwards,  and Laura Fanelli for working with us on Facebook and Hollie Bobo for helping out on Pinterest!  They are awesome and we hope that you will join them each day and interact with them!  They love hearing all of your comments and seeing photos of things you have crocheted using patterns designed during the Battle.

Round 9 Challenger Reveals

There are 10 designers for round 9 of Battle of the Stitches and it's time to reveal them!

First, we have RaeLynn Orff from AllieCat's Hats & Crafts. 

This is RaeLynn's 3rd round. 
Her first round was round 6 where she made the Playful Dolphin Security Blanket. 

Her second round with BOS was round 8 where she made the Shells of Warmth Slouch/Cowl.

I also found this great pattern for her Heaven's Ladder Mitts in her pattern shop.

Our second challenger is Sonya Blackstone from Blackstone Designs.

This will be Sonya's 4th round with BOS.
In round 3 she made her Chilly Cables Coatigan.

In round 4 she made her Lovely Lace Sweater.

And in round 6 she made the Lakeshore Cover Up.
